Ceramic | safety grind | rust-free
The ceramic blade has a safety grind that reduces the risk of cut injuries. Ceramic does not rust, does not conduct electricity and is non-magnetic, spark-free and chemically neutral. According to the manufacturer, the blade stays sharp up to 10 times longer than a steel blade. It is usable on both sides; 5 pieces are supplied in a dispenser. You will find further types in the overview of cutter knife blades.
Note: ceramic is harder than carbon steel but more sensitive to lateral forces. The blade can break on curved cuts.
