Secupro 625 – fully automatic retraction for intensive cuts

wide blade opening | metal housing | for intensive continuous use

The Secupro 625 is a premium-class safety knife built for intensive continuous use of more than 1,000 cuts a day. Its safety level 2 with fully automatic blade retraction retracts the blade into the housing by itself as soon as the slider is released or the material being cut leaves the blade. The aluminium metal housing makes the knife durable under load, and the wide, dirt-tolerant blade opening at the front keeps the retraction reliably free even when the material being cut sticks to the blade. The ergonomic design sits securely and firmly in the hand. The Secupro 625 is therefore aimed at safety officers, logistics managers and production managers in heavy-duty use. You will find further models in our Safety knives overview.

Highlights

  • Very high safety: thanks to fully automatic blade retraction – the blade retracts into the housing by itself as soon as the slider is released or the material being cut leaves the blade (safety level 2)
  • Safe in transport: a lever lock secures the blade in transport and prevents it from extending unintentionally
  • Tolerates dirt in continuous use: the wide blade opening at the front takes up cutting residue and deposits without blocking the automatic blade retraction
  • Lastingly robust: the aluminium housing withstands forceful and sawing cuts without weakness
  • Large cutting depth: with a blade extension of 21 mm, the knife also cuts thicker cartons, rubber and PVC in one pass

Applications & cutting materials

Which materials is this knife made for — and where does it reach its limits?

Particularly suitable for thick materials

Cardboard – lids/flaps — martor Secupro 625 – safety knife, fully automatic blade retraction im Einsatz

Cardboard – lids/flaps

Single- to triple-wall corrugated board and export packaging can be cut through in a controlled way – without damaging the contents.

Stripping the outer layer of rolls — martor Secupro 625 – safety knife, fully automatic blade retraction im Einsatz

Stripping the outer layer of rolls

Remove paper and film rolls down to just before the core – the knife also withstands high cutting forces.

Adhesive tape — martor Secupro 625 – safety knife, fully automatic blade retraction im Einsatz

Adhesive tape

Open sealed cartons along the adhesive tape – the defined cutting depth cuts the tape without scoring the goods underneath.

Knife know-how

Not every safety knife is built the same – and you only notice it when it matters in everyday use. In the knife know-how section we show you at a glance how the Secupro 625 performs in the most important respects: from the safety mechanism and grip quality to blade performance. This lets you judge whether it suits your application. If you have questions about the choice, we are happy to advise you personally.

Further features

Safety

Transport lock
Prevents the blade from extending by accident in a pocket or tool case.
Without snap-off segments
Continuous blade without predetermined breaking points, no risk of a segment breaking off uncontrolled.
Rounded tip
Prevents puncture injuries without limiting the cutting performance of the blade edge. Particularly relevant for overhead or blind work.
Few mounting holes
Fewer blade mounting holes mean fewer predetermined breaking points under lateral force, and a lower risk of uncontrolled breakage.

Handle & ergonomics

Ergonomic design
The handle shape is designed around the hand position when cutting and reduces fatigue with repeated use.
SoftGrip
Reduces fatigue over long shifts thanks to grippy, padded zones.
Squeeze-grip
The blade is activated simply by squeezing the handle shells, without thumb pressure. Particularly gentle with frequent use and at safety level 2, where the blade has to be re-activated after every cut.
Left- and right-handed
Can be used with either hand, with or without conversion depending on the model, equally suitable for left- and right-handed users.
Weight > 100 g
Higher weight, usually due to all-metal construction. More robust, with somewhat less carrying comfort over long periods. This model weighs 151 g.

Blade

Premium carbon steel
Refined alloy with even better edge retention, for particularly demanding continuous use.
Uncoated
Constant basic sharpness without coating wear, cost-efficient and proven. The most economical choice for standard applications.
High initial sharpness
Especially sharp from the first cut, ideal when maximum cutting performance is needed immediately.
Long edge life
Much longer service life until the next blade change than standard blades. Reduces change intervals and blade consumption in intensive use.

Special features

Wide housing opening
The generously sized opening makes blade changes easier, even with gloves.
Tool-free blade change
Insert a new blade without tools, done in seconds.
Eyelet
For attaching to a belt, carabiner or lanyard so the knife stays within easy reach.
Knife type: safety knife
Safety knives are designed for continuous professional use — usually with an automatic or manual blade guard that prevents cuts when the knife is not in use. The standard choice in logistics, retail and production.

Blade change – how it works

  1. 1 Fold the blue button at the top of the housing upwards and out.
  2. 2 Extend the blade using the squeeze-grip.
  3. 3 Lock the squeeze-grip with the transport lock.
  4. 4 Turn the handle until the transparent blade cover faces upwards.
  5. 5 Remove the blade by its short, blunt side and turn it over or replace it with a new one.
  6. 6 Place the new blade so that it sits exactly on the two lugs.
  7. 7 Release the transport lock and squeeze-grip – the blade retracts into the housing by itself.
  8. 8 Press the blue lever back into the housing and dispose of the old blade safely.

Replacement blades

The Secupro 625 is supplied with a KM60099 – a trapezoid blade made of premium carbon steel with a rounded tip. The knife accepts only martor trapezoid blades, pay attention to compatibility when buying. Our recommendation for everyday use: the KM60099 with a rounded tip. Overview of all trapezoid blades

Alternatives

These level 2 safety knives also offer fully automatic blade retraction or a fully automatic blade guard. The AS100 relies on a spring-loaded guard with a fixed blade and is therefore also suitable for soft materials, while the ES44, PHC Rebel and MaxiSafe retract the blade into the housing like the Secupro 625. The choice comes down to ergonomics, build quality and price – the Secupro 625 stands out in the premium segment with its aluminium housing and squeeze-grip.

Accessories

Complement the Secupro 625 with matching accessories: collection boxes for dull blades, lanyards as a safety cord, cutting rulers for precise cuts and holsters for safe storage.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about the Secupro 625 – we answer them here in detail. If you have further questions, we are happy to help you personally: To the contact form

Which replacement blades fit the Secupro 625?
The Secupro 625 accepts only martor trapezoid blades. Suitable blades are the KM60099 (rounded, recommended), KM99 (pointed), KM98 (hook blade) and KM160099 (stainless steel, rounded). Pay attention to compatibility when buying, as blades from other manufacturers are not accepted.
Is the Secupro 625 suitable for left-handed users?
The Secupro 625 can be operated equally well from the left and the right – the squeeze-grip can be released directly on both sides, without conversion. It is therefore suitable for right- and left-handed users.
Which safety level does the Secupro 625 have?
The Secupro 625 belongs to safety level 2: with the fully automatic blade retraction, the blade retracts into the housing by itself as soon as the slider is released or the material being cut leaves the blade. This offers very high safety even with frequent use.
How do I clean the Secupro 625?
Like most knives of safety level 2, the Secupro 625 cannot be unscrewed. Cutting residue can be tapped out towards the front, and the interior can be cleaned with compressed air from the front. Complete cleaning of the inside of the housing is not intended.
