Ceramic | single-sided grind | rounded tip
This scalpel blade is made of ceramic. The tip is rounded so that it hardly injures the skin. Ceramic does not rust, stays sharp for a very long time and is an alternative to the steel blade for cutting paper, film and adhesive tape. The initial sharpness is lower than with steel.
The blade is 33 mm long, 6 mm high and 0.8 mm thick, uncoated and ground on one side with a single bevel. It fits one knife in our range. 4 pieces are supplied; the manufacturer is Slice. You will find further types in the overview of cutter knife blades.
Note: ceramic is hard but sensitive to lateral forces. Therefore cut in a straight line and do not pry.
