Ceramic | pointed tip for fine seams | rust-free
This replacement blade for seam rippers is made of ceramic and has a narrow, pointed tip which, according to the manufacturer, glides even into very tight seams and catches the thread without pulling or tugging. According to the manufacturer, the safety grind protects against cut injuries even if you touch the cutting edge. According to the manufacturer, ceramic stays sharp considerably longer than steel, does not rust and is spark-free. The initial sharpness is lower than with steel.
The blade is 31 mm long, 6 mm high and 1.2 mm thick, uncoated and ground on one side with a double bevel, so usable on one side only. It fits the seam ripper in our range. 4 pieces are supplied; the manufacturer is Slice. You will find further types in the overview of cutter knife blades.
Note: ceramic is hard but sensitive to lateral forces. Therefore cut in a straight line and do not pry.
