Ceramic | rounded corners | safety grind
This long blade is made of ceramic and has rounded corners that reduce the risk of injury. The safety grind cuts packaging material but barely cuts into the skin. In return, the initial sharpness is lower than with steel. Ceramic does not rust and stays sharp for a long time, but is sensitive to lateral forces, for example on curved cuts.
The blade is 120 mm long, 18 mm high and 1.3 mm thick, uncoated and ground on one side with a double bevel. It has no snap-off segments and few blade mounting holes. It fits 2 knives in our range. 4 pieces are supplied; the manufacturer is Slice (type 10538). You will find further types in the overview of cutter knife blades.
