Blade change – how it works

  1. 1 Take the knife out of use and put it down safely.
  2. 2 Press both side release buttons on the handle body at the same time and hold them down.
  3. 3 Push the KM3550 blade head out towards the front.
  4. 4 For the second usable side: turn the blade head over by 180° and reinsert it.
  5. 5 Or: insert a new blade head and let it click into place — no tools required.
  6. 6 Check that the blade is seated correctly — the head must be firmly and securely locked.
  7. 7 Dispose of dull blade heads in a collection box — never touch them with bare hands.

Replacement blades

The martor Secumax 350 uses only the proprietary KM3550 blade head — compatible with no other blade system. The blade head is usable on both sides and delivers approx. 1,200 cuts per piece. You will find all available replacement blades in the overview of all cutter knife blades.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about the martor Secumax 350 — from correct handling to the right area of use. If you want to know more about the KM3550 blade system, suitability for left-handed users or the safety level, you will find the answers here. The C-URT team is happy to provide further information.

How do I change the blade head on the Secumax 350?
On the martor Secumax 350 you change the blade without tools: press both release buttons on the handle, push out the old KM3550 blade head, insert a new head and let it click into place. A replacement blade is already included in the scope of delivery — no separate purchase is needed for the first change. Dispose of dull heads in a collection box.
Which replacement blades fit the martor Secumax 350?
The Secumax 350 uses only the proprietary KM3550 blade head — other blade heads are not compatible. The KM3550 is available in a pack of 10 for €8.81. Each blade head is usable on both sides, which doubles the effective edge life to approx. 1,200 cuts per head.
Is the Secumax 350 suitable for left-handed users?
Yes — the martor Secumax 350 is suitable for left- and right-handed users without conversion and without tools. The design can be operated directly from both sides. There is no preferred hand — the knife works identically in both hands.
What does safety level 3 mean on the Secumax 350?
Safety level 3 means: the blade is not exposed at any time. The KM3550 protective-hook blade head completely conceals the cutting edge — during cutting, in the rest position and during transport. This is the highest safety class in the BoxCutter segment and protects reliably against unintended cut injuries.
Which cutting tasks is the Secumax 350 suited to?
The Secumax 350 is an all-rounder for logistics and retail: corrugated board, adhesive tape, stretch film, strapping, films, sacks and cords. The cutting depth of 6 mm is designed for standard materials. For deep cuts in very thick material, a specialised knife may be more sensible.
